About me
I first found myself on the mat in my early teens and have never looked back. Today, I seek to teach a yoga practice that is colorful, evolving, inspired by myth and imagination, and encouraging of our unique vitality. I am inspired by a variety of yoga traditions experienced and integrated over nearly two decades of practice. I truly believe that yoga helps us move better through the external and internal worlds that we inhabit. It is a privilege to be able to continue in sharing and furthering the tradition of yoga and to honor its roots in ways that are not limited to asana - service, song, breathwork, internal inquiry, and so much more. In my classes you can expect a challenging but approachable sequence with plenty of options for modifications, explorations in anatomy and energy, bad jokes, individualized attention and feedback, and a sincere commitment to presence and community. Outside of yoga you can find me traveling somewhere new, at a farmers market or winery, or cuddling at home with my partner and two crazy cats.
I owe a tremendous amount to my teachers, including my very first teacher, DeAnna Alvarez; Larissa Hall Carlson and Kari Harendorf, with whom I received my 200-hour Teacher Training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2018; Nikki Villela, with whom I completed a 75-hour Kula Yoga Advanced Teacher Training in 2025; Emily Jonas and Tim Keheller, who made me fall in love with the Boston yoga scene, and teachers with whom I continue my studies today including my ongoing 300-hour Teacher Training at JP Centre Yoga with Daniel Max and Brenna Matthews. I believe there is so much to be gained by listening to the innate wisdom of the body at any age or stage in life and that there isn’t just one way to live your yoga.
